Have to agree Steven, a tough event this was. That 400m (approx) of mud was a killer, really took it out of me, and doing it twice.....! Was a bit gutted with my time at first, but on reflection happy with the effort. Shall know what's to come next year.
After starting running last May and posting a time of 1hr 29mins for a half marathon in September, I am continuing with the running and thoroughly enjoying it.
I have signed up to the White Peak Marathon in May and also looking to do the ladybower 50 in September. These are both off road and therefore I am looking for a suitable shoe to get me round these.
I currently use a Hi-tec V-lite infinity trail shoe for the off road stuff but don't feel it would be comfortable enough for either event, so will use these for shorter training runs.
What shoe should I be looking at, go with a normal road shoe or specific trail shoe? I'm in need of a support shoe as over pronate slightly. I have seen some Salomon XT Wings 2 at a good price, would these be up to the job?
