I've been running since December, and have been lucky enough to be injury free - until now! I seem to be fine for about 1.5 miles, and then I get a fairly sharp pain on the front right of my right knee, going down about 4 inches from my knee into the outer edge of my upper calf. Feels fine afterwards and when walking, although sometimes the pain comes back as I'm walking down stairs.
If anyone could help me figure out what's wrong it'd be great!
Hey, this is my first post here so hope it's in the right section, apologies if not!
I've been running for two and a bit months, and really love it. I'm moving to New Zealand for 9 months at the end of Feb, and was planning on running the Wellington Half Marathon in June. But I went out and ran 10 miles at 9:20 mins per mile a few days ago, and it felt fine. My two months of running have been pretty unfocused; no training plan of any kind, and not loads of mileage.
If a 10 miler feels fine now, with training could I realistically run a marathon in June? Or, being a relative newbie, would it be safer and more sensible to stick with the half?
just looking for any advice or opinions, as I really don't know anything about running!
