It's clockwise, think it's just a rough map as they said on fb that it would be updated. I'm sure they will stretch it out to 40,and I'm hoping they will be issuing a newsletter at the weekend. Looking forward to it, hopefully we'll have beautiful sept weather! Need to have a good race on this one as I've just entered my first 100 (Cotswold Century) which is 2 weeks afterwards, so this is kind of a training run now!! See you there!
Those white signs coming off Pen y Fan were a nightmare, not helped by the fact that a MCN sign had been knocked over and was pointing UP the hill! After a bit of zig-zagging, I got the map out and went by that so only lost about 5 mins. Sounds like a few of the marathon and trail runners were led astray on the very first hill by them too.
Now I can finally walk down the stairs without hanging onto the banister rail, I can't wait until payday on Friday to book Round 3!!
I ran the Ultra yesterday (well, walked a lot of it!!) and I loved it! It was my first Ultra, and did I ever pick a tough one!! I very nearly dropped out at CP6, sat on the ground for 45 mins as I had spent the last mile being sick, but I just couldn't get in the car, and as my stomach felt better and my legs felt fine, Matt very kindly put me back in the race!! I set off up Corn Du in second last place and managed to get to CP8 in an hour and a half, overtaking several people on the way. Caught a group at the bottom of the super steep ridge on Cribyn, and then I knew I was going to get to the end fine!!
Finished in just over 12 hrs, have learnt a hell of a lot, need to sort out the food issues, feet were great, quads were hurting but I'll be back for the Sept one for sure!!
Right now, I'm just hoping I can recover quickly for Man versus Horse in 2 weeks time!!
