Hey MRSG,

I feel like that everytime i run,if its a 5 miler around mile 3 I just want to stop,if its a 10 miler i hit mile 8 and want to stop etc etc. And as for diet,i thought running and training for a marathon would come with a healthy dollop of weight loss, don't tihnk i've lost a single pound its ridiculous lol!

Did my LSR yesterday morning, was meant to be a 12 miler (well 2 hours) with me trying to stick to 10min miles. I decided to add another 10 minutes and go for a half marathon 13,1 mile.  First 9 miles was good with an average of 9:30mm. The last 4.1 mile came and i hit a wall the size a The Hoover Dam all of my body wanted to stop I don't know know how i managed to keep going and not walk briefly (my pride wont let me walk) however the miles were slower an average of 10:30mm and i couldn't do anything about it. I didn't even get the sense of achievement that I got on my 11 miler last week, all i thought this time was I could never run that again.

I also broke my foot around 18 months ago and its is now extremley sore after these long runs, so i'm limping round at moment.....woe is me!

Hope the MIL is doing better as each day goes on, and sorry to hear the sad news bout all your friends with cancer, its very sad!

Hope all your LSR go well if your doing them today!!!!

Just basically logging on for a moan....

Had to go to a wedding sat and in turn missed my Sunday morning run wudda been the longest yet around 9-10 mile. Saturdays 5 miler was hard and after missing Sunday I'm a big negative mess....don't feel like I can last the 26 don't feel I have run far enough everyone else is on 14-18 mile runs. And since losing my training partner I keep speeding up and getting to tired to quick....not to mention problems with chaffing each time. Sorry to moan.

On a positive did a 60minute 6 miler this morning before work. As punishment for missing Sunday. Stayed slow and found it easy....go figure.

Well done on the 12 miler Len.

USB. I haven't run any other distance or times before apart from obviously my training. My original aim was to just complete not to fussed bout time. Not to sure if I cud keep up a 9 minute pace for 26 mile. And scared of burn out. And its the virgin London marathon.
