I live not far away from the velodrome in Manchester so when I see people cycling past very quickly of a morning, I think I probably really am seeing GB cyclists!

I want a GB running top as well - not the vest but the t shirt they wear over the vest to keep them warm between events/heats/whatever.

Another vote for Up & Running in the Triangle. They charge £10 for gait analysis if you don't buy your shoes from there (it's free if you do). Based on my gait analysis there were 3 brands of shoe that I could choose from and they were happy for me to try them on and spend as much time using the treadmill as I liked until I was able to make a decision on which I liked best. Ended up with the Mizuno Inspire 8s which have been great so far. They also said that if I found I didn't like the fit I could bring them back and try others. Couldn't be happier with the service to be honest.

Looking at the previous posts, my efforts seem a bit measly but I'll post anyway!

Ran outside for the first time today - I only started running recently and have been using the treadmill at the gym so I can gauge my times, pace etc easily... and because it's dark in the evenings still! - and managed to go ten minutes longer than ever before... 30 mins / 5k!

I found the time passed much more quickly running in the great outdoors and luckily I have a big park with lots of different routes to choose from right on my doorstep.  so think I'll aim to do one longer run on the weekend in the park and stick with the treadmill for my shorter after work runs until it gets a bit ligher in the evening.
