Thanks Toby. He is doing okay, we knew she had been ill for a while but it was still hard.
Im thinking of cancelling my gym membership as I only run outside and its £70 a month I could save but Im a little concerned that if it snows all winter Im going to need the treadmills to run my long runs. Did anyone on here train for a marathon in a snowy winter and how did u manage to get the runs in? Am I going to need the gym if it snows?
Finally got out for that run this afternoon. Went for feel with no plan other than to run. Was long and slow and feeling on top of the world like I could run forever.......until I realised that I had forgotten I had booked a sainsbury delivery that was due to arrive so it became a very fast run home instead. Still 5 miles isn't bad I just wanted to do more
No running for me this week. My other half's nan, who we lived with, died last weekend and there has been so much to do to get sorted that I just haven't had the chance to get out there. Hoping to get out there tomorrow though I miss running and I need to feel more like me again.
Also considering joining the local athletics club to assist my running but can't decided if it's a good idea. I think it would help me but part of what I like about running is that it's just me and the road and I can go at a time convenient to me rather than being regimented to a time. Any thoughts?
Cool thanks Toby. Will decide nearer the time based on how training is going but I'm thinking I would like to go for a time as would be an indication of how my training is going and what I might expect on marathon day
Thanks Toby. There is one I have done before that I was hoping to do in March but it is on 29th and I thought it would be too close to Marathon date to do but I just looked and the plan has me doing 14 that day anyway so Im guessing I would be okay to do it afterall?
