Hi Steph, just wanted to say a huge congratulations for what you have achieved so far, I have a huge amount of respect for you taking on this challenge! I am doing a similar thing, although not with the weight loss, more a combination of wanting to be fit and to achieve something I can be really proud of that is completely independent of my life as a new(ish) mum! My daughter is now just about to turn 18 months and I feel the need to have something in my life for myself again (although she is coming on all of my runs with me at the moment in a running pram).

I just started my 'up to fitness' training yesterday and am planning 6 weeks of that followed by a 16 week marathon training schedule. I am running the new forest half marathon as training on the 23rd September and then Luton marathon on November 18th so my training schedule has about 2 weeks spare to account for a small amount of missed training if I need it.

I have never ran a long distance race before but am lucky enough that my fianc?? is running fanatic so is able to give me so much advice and support, do let me know if you have any questions or anything and I can ask him. He has ran 3 marathons in 3 days before and is training to run 8 marathons in 8 days through the Swiss alps in September so he really is an expert!

Would be so good to keep reading your updates as we are on such a similar path and our races are only a month apart!

Casey
