Cheers SB. feeling a bit reflective today and will focus on the winter to get under 1:30 for a half a probably not hit 26 again until the boy is a bit older. Great news on the VLM position too. You should beat Kimetto!
3.5m this morning nice and easy. Although the Jurassic Coast doesn't offer much in the way of flat running! Legs felt okay. Done the ice cream. Now it's vino!
It was brutal. Only 200 runners so I ran miles 5-9 And 14 to 26.2 completely on my own. 22 degrees and no cloud cover for the 2nd half. I was broken by mile 19 and had to have 2 drinks at each remaining water station! Managed the last 7 miles between 8:15 and 8:55 m/m to keep within 3:30 and ended up taking nearly 4 mins off my PB.
Very happy to beat the 3:30, annoyed I didn't keep the pace I wanted and Im left wondering who to blame - the sun or me
Relaxing in Lyme Regis now and took Arthur on sand for the first time yesterday. I plan to eat my weight in ice cteam over the next couple of days. Off for a gentle 4 miles in a bit.
