Mine is another vote for food! I haven't done an ultra yet but I did do a 22 mile event yesterday and at the end was meat stew and a cream tea which was very welcome.

I'll add my tuppence worth then. On Saturday I ran 15 miles so I am back on track! It was almost 3 weeks after spraining my ankle so it still has a limited range of pain-free movement but running seems to be fine. Annoyingly I seem to have developed a pain in the calf on the other leg so I am taking things slowly. I have a 21 mile event this Sunday but it isn't a race and there are cake stops so hopefully I'll be OK.

I've booked a physio appointment as my ankle is still sore. At the moment i'm feeling like a wannabe runner, let alone ultra runner!

I think so. As I said I can walk around on it without too much pain but it's certainly gone a funny colour! I'm not sure it'll be ready for a 20 mile race next weekend which would be a shame...but at least there are plenty more to look forward to

Cragchick, oh dear! I did mine on Sunday. I can walk around on it but i've no intention of running on it yet! It's quite swollen as is my foot so i'll wait for it to start looking normal!
