Hi everyone, that's the beauty (read randomness) of ultras! I am really nervous about how I'll manage but I promise I'll be smiling even if I struggle. Though soaking wet feet may remove my sense of humour.
I'm running alone after arriving back in the country around midnight, would love to say hello to anyone off here. I'll be on the c2c express from London an wearing blue inov8 shoes, or wellingtons, tbc.
I enjoyed it! Thanks for helping out on the event. It was my first organised long run and I found it hard work (first time I've really run off road). Dread to think what I've got coming at the country to capital in jan!
It was flat and there was a nice cheer at the end, even for a slow coach like me.
I decided today to get serious about running. Have entered the stort 30 in october, the country to capital 45 in Jan and... well thinking of the wall, carlisle to newcastle next june. Aim will be to finish each of them. Maybe by the time I get to june i'll be thinking of times... or will have retired!
Is anyone doing one of these 3 I'll be looking out for advice and friendly faces on the day.
Thanks Debra, just getting started and I was probably a bit stupid to up my mileage so much... Either have bruised or stress fractured something in my right foot. Resting up now. But I can't wait to run long again!
