Yes indeed. It was fantastic fun. I didn't end up needing the leg support and it was soft underfoot to say the least! Will definitely be back for the next one.
Blimey it was tough! It was my first 10k race and I struggled up the hill of mud, through the pond of water at 9.5k and managed to come in 57th out of 115 ladies. Feeling very proud of myself now. I had a fantastic time and will definitely be back for more!
I'm running my first 10k race at the Windsor Great Park dash on Saturday but I've never been to the area before and was wondering if anyone knew how elevated or hilly it was there. I've been having some knee trouble with downhill stretches and would like to know if I should wear my knee support or not.
Any advice on my first 10k would also be appreciated. I've run twice this week - one 7k and one 8k. I'm planning to get one more 8-10k in on Thursday before the big day.
I've had a similar problem with my left knee that set in about 2 miles into my runs (particulr when going downhill) but I found these exercises on Youtube really helped me (I try to do them at least one a day) and my knee is now back to normal when running.

They are the sort of exercises you can do anywhere and don't take up much time. I didn't think they would work but I've since stopped wearing my knee support and am running a 10k on Saturday without it (hopefully!)
