Morning all!

Had a cold and a busy week last week, so ran...once I think. Back now though, and did a nice 40 mins this morning.

Maths - Those runs are just great when you just take a random path and find somewhere new to go. We don't have lot of lovely footpaths like that around here, but I have found a few new roads that I didn't even know existed. No deer either...just lots and lots of snails!

Andy - Those are so frustrating. I don't usually have a lot of choice in the matter of when we leave events not at our house, but for ones that are, I just say I'm tired and am going to bed, because usually I am!

Nice gentle run today. Didn't give myself a pace to keep to, or a distance to go, just a quiet 30 minutes enjoying the sunrise. My foot is still healing though, so I have only been running every couple of days to give it a chance... so annoying.

Very very happy today, 3 miles in 30 minutes. Not quite 5k, but so close! Nearly exhausted myself doing it for the last 5 minutes, all uphill. I think trying to keep pace with the runner on the other side of the road helped, though he was about a foot taller than me and barely running, while I was having to push to keep up. Still got a long way to go, but very proud today. As Andy said (well done on that run by the way!), this thread is so motivational. Once the other runner turned off, I just kept thinking about being able to report in here that I had done it to keep me going.

Good work on the marathons 5:30 and Kate! Shame about the water stops. And no food at the end?  Absolutely dreadful!

Managed to get round a couple of miles again today, armed with a huge plaster on each foot, and two pairs of socks. It hurt more walking at the end than the actual running, which was odd. Oh well, it felt good to be out there again. Enjoy your runs all!

Morning all, no run for me today. My foot is sorting itself out now, so don't want to undo that and have more days of pain. Running yesterday made it worse even through running thickness socks and a huge plaster. Frustrating because Saturday is my rest day, which makes this one feel pointless, but oh well, the feet need time to harden up. Those double skinned  socks sound good though, might look into some of those.

Well done on the race, Andy, great time!
