yeah Jason good to catch up (the only catching I'll be doing with the times you're smashing lately) ....something like 2:02 for me but the achilles is agony now..hard course hilly and hot with a bit of an uphill finish...how much better would it have been down hill more into the city center...well done the scouts around the course handing out the water.
Cheers Martin...Needed every shout out today I could get today..That is by far the hardest run I've ever done or could imagine doing..missed my half marathon pb by 34 minutes lol...but it wasnt about time today..rather than concentrate on the two square meters of earth infront of me the views all around were simply breathtaking!...honestly. its no wonder that folk travel from overseas to take part.
Funny at the prerun brief when the half marathoners suddenly spotted the longer distance runners coming up the hill towards them and split like the red sea and cheering like billyo!
all in all a great race and the after was great with stalls selling all types of food and what was almost like an expo...the 26 extreme crowd know how to do it right!
