it's about 5-6% but about 6k worth ?? I'm sure BluePeter can give us the details
yes thats about right. We went over for a weekend in May to watch the 70.3 and have a recce of the course. It was worth it, we only rode the 2nd half though which although is the main hill the first half took me a bit by surprise as there are a few lumps.
Once leaving port de pollensa you are climbing, not much at first but from here to the summit is about 10 miles, the main part of the climb is about 5/6 miles. It has a few steepish bits but once in a rhythym its just an easy spin up. Very very scenic, some amazing(scary) views through the mountains. The descent is quite technical to start as there are numerous switchbacks...on a wet day(it rained the day after the IM quite heavy) it would be a bit more tricky.
My wife did the climb when we went in May not experienced at all with any hill riding and she found it ok if a bit tough at times and is doing the 70.3 in May 2015 so it hasnt put her off
