my glute on the right only played up when i came across gradients, i slipped a bit in the rain, not falling over but. it stressed the glute muscle i suspect. i avoided all hills and avoided fast sprints...i managed to knock out two half mararthon events close to the time of problem. so i suggest some rest and avoid the things that stress the glute the most. get yourself booked in for regular leg massages and explain the glute problem..my massage lady took great joy in using her elbow to release pressure. pushing down and hold the elbow for some time until the pain subsides. its not a nice experience but it does work.
Eridge was a good run..glad i entered. Some tough steep area's and lost my trainer in one mud bath...took me 5 minutes to find it ! well Marshall..free beer and food afterwards and great atmosphere. I recommend it.
