Hello runners I usually run 10k in the evenings 3x per week. Today I fancied a day time run so I loaded my twins into their double-jogger and managed a flat 5k. It was really, really tough. My shoulders suffered the worst - is this potentially damaging? TBH - my main question is this; does anyone know the calorific benefit from doing this? The kids weigh 11kg each and the pram is 18kg so I was pushing a 40kg load - if it's worthwhile I'll happily do it again as they loved it, but if there's no benefit or if its negligible.... well, no thanks!! Thanks for listening - any thoughts welcomed
Hello runners I have only been running for five months and I'm now running 10k three times a week on average, training for a half marathon in spring 2013. So far it has been pretty mild with plenty of light. Now that autumn is approaching and the nights are definitely drawing in, I'm starting to rethink my wardrobe. I run in shorts and a vest, with a baseball cap if it's fiercely sunny, or raining hard. I love running in the rain My worry is staying seen and staying warm but I don't want to wear a bulky sweaty jacket if I don't have to. Can anyone recommend a good option for me? Many thanks
