I read it that the "change" was only for the Half? two laps instead of three?

I wouldn't worry about the bike... the way my training is going I will be running twice, the first time will be 112 miles closely followed by a second stint of 26.2.  I still haven't been out on my bike this year - too cold, too slippery, too much of a big girls blouse.

What's a "hot tent" Matt?  Sounds like the pirate on-site team sauna is sorted then

+1 for not having ben outside on the bike this year. Also not enjoying the wet/windy/snowy weather. Have been busy with training (Week 18 starts for me tomorrow - still a bit ahead of the Fink plan I think). Reading Half Marathon last week, and building up to my HIM test (http://www.galeforce-events.com/triathlon-events/bedford-middle/) with a 74 mile Sportive (http://www.galeforce-events.com/cycling-events/spring-challenge-sportive/) - this is all starting to get a bit real now.

Anyone have any advice on wetsuits? I have a very basic 2XU suit right now (T0) which has seen better days, and am thinking of hiring for a couple of months. Anyone able to recommend a good suit hire place?

Hi all! Hope you're all training well! Over and above the seemingly popular campsite, does anyone have any hotel recommendations? The Premier Inn (London Road) which was my preference is full (and probably has been for a while!). Any convenient alternative options?! Bit late in the day I know!

Week 12 - *gulp*

why d'ya have to go and say that - i got my plan pinned up above the PC and havent even thought about how many weeks there is left - but i just checked, why you on week 12, for one second i thought there was only 18 weeks until the outlaw which would also mean that i only had 13 weeks until the double, which scared the shit out of me. a quick count says 23 weeks till outlaw. phew.

Yeah, sorry about that I shouldn't post week updates, I'll worry everyone! I know I have a few holidays and work commitments between now and July, so I've planned around them and started a few weeks early! (i.e.: i'll take the full week off, and repeat the week before when I return).

The swim sessions are somewhat depressing. Having realised quite quickly I can't fit the sets into the hour, I just went for distance and managed to beat the tedium of pool swimming to knock out 1.9k in 44 mins. What's a good middle of pack time for that? I think I need to improve a little!
