I dont know what prompted me to look, but I'm glad I did. I've got a place in the GNR, but not sure if my family can make it or not. Seems like it may be easier to go up myself - just need to decide whether to go for Sleepover in the City, or the Uni Halls. As long I've got somewhere to sleep, with some nice pre-run atmosphere, I'm not too fussed. Would it be better to park the car over in South Shields, or is parking generally better Newcastle side? Also, is it worth booking the extras such as athletes breakfast, and dinner on the Sat night?
I must admit, I was under the impression that those who were chosen would have been told last Friday, but when I look on that section on this website, it says to watch this space for updates.. Confused.. I am
Well, I guess I haven't got a place this year. At the end of the day. I entered this with an open mind, and nothing will deter me from trying my hardest and being the best that I can be. Congratulations to those who have won a place. I'll keep an eye on who to vite for when the time comes!
Zoe, Dave. I couldn't agree more. I was gutted I didn't get a chance to meet you properly before the start of the race. We must all meet up next time we're all running together. Saying that, i did see an old friend of mine, who I didn't know had entered. Like Dave, this was the first time at this distance and I did struggle at the end. One thing for me is that I never really know what pace I'm doing until I see the end result, and I haven't tried any of those gels that a lot of folk seem to use. Zoe. You inspired me into doing this, and I'm just mulling over what to enter next!
