My problem is I am not sure I shall be able to wear them for 45Miles) I have the Merrel trail Glove...which are cool for track although I mainly wear them for work.....super comfy but hard as nails on the road......if they did an upper the same and a bottom just 10mm all over woould be ace....have seen these tho' Inov8 Road X 233 which may be worth a punt
I had made the change to minimalist running shoes a couple of years ago after bad Achilles problems up to and during my first Ultra (Baby Ultra 31M or 33 after getting lost!) I have made the transition well…and have had no further injuries since changing. So I am now doing a 45M 72.5K in September which will be predominantly flat and on road/ Tracks….has anyone got suggestions for footwear…I have like so many people gone through so many variations of trainers and have a few favorites Innov8 190 Xtalon for real muddy trails (Winter) some zero drop for summer trails and recently NB 1010 s which are really good but have a slight rip after only 200M. I have been wearing these for a few road runs and they are just too hard on the edges but amazing on trail!! Im running 20-25 miles regularly and +50M a week Is there something out there which is in between ie good cushion/ good heel toe drop no more than 4mm/ good wide toe splay/fit but good firm ankle like the Inov8 ankle??
I have 20 weeks so have just enough time to run in a couple of pairs.
glad to know I am not going nuts) I dont think I actually said playing with myself with mittens but the scope for comedy was there admittedly. I had thought I could strap them together in a mitt as well.
