I usually plod along on my long runs more between 11-12.5 minute miles, will get there eventually, just takes time!! Not done park runs before but am looking forward to it, just something else to spur me on with my training!!
Peter, good luck for your hm on the 11th, I enjoyed doing my first two this year and am now hooked!!

| Hey Richard, I think the best way is to join a running club!! As a novice myself I've looked for lots of advice about running but am still unsure if I am doing things right!! I've looked at joining a club near to me who will provide proper coaching & enable to meet with other runners!! I'm only 5ft and think I'm going to have to just live with the fact that my unbelievably slow hm times are never really going to be as good as I would like them to be!! Your times however sound pretty good to me xx |

| I try and run as soon as I get in from work or when my hubby gets home on my days off to look after my 18 month old. If I sit down on the sofa I'm buggered!! Xx |
