Great going HH. Sounds like a great idea for a race - I hope they run another next year. Reading your race report makes me wish I'd stayed in the UK last weekend - travelled for Challenge Vichy in France, only for it to be shortened to half in the heatwave. Definitely looking closer to home in 2013! Congrats on a great race. |

Thanks, Rosemary. I've been looking at Stort 30 in October: http://www.challenge-running.co.uk/stort30/ . Do you know it at all? |

Hello all. I'm after a little advice, please! I trained for an ironman this year, only to get to my race in France last weekend and have a heatwave force the organisers to cut it to a half. Disappointing, but life goes on! Now reassessing season goals to make the most of my training and I wondered whether a 30 mile ultra 7 weeks from now would be an acheivable ambition or just plain silly?! I ran a steady and comfortable 4.20 marathon 6 weeks ago so I have some distance under my belt, and have been doing 2-3 hour runs since then as part of IM training. Thanks for any advice! K x |

Happy new year everyone Well done on that 10K Susan SLIM, I didn't emerge until after lunch on NYD, no way I could have raced! I've just found this thread - if I'm not too late to join in then my number for Paris 09 is 34009 (Green). Sorry if this has been asked 101 times already, but have people generally been able to sort their medical certificates out ok? I saw the doc in November and she said she'd post it to me, but it never materialised - off to try again next week... All the best for your training, K x |
