Hi Gillaz, I thought i had this the other as i finished a half marathon and a day later i could bearly walk. I read a magazine article that rolling your foot on a frozen water bottle or on a tennis ball helps to stretch the area. I've not tried this as my pain has subsided thank goodness but it looked like a good tip for stretching the area which i will try when my training resumes next week.
Hi, just wanted to say this was my first ever race of any description and i loved it! Every second of it was a memory that will stay with me forever. I've been running since Febuary and slowly increased my training as the weeks progressed. I only made it up to 9.3 miles in total distance so the fact i made the distance without stopping made even more proud of myself than i thought possible. I have the bug now and cant wait to get back on the trianing again. The Leicester Half marathon is an amazing experience and one that i'll never forget.
