I have been looking at the Garmin 410.  I like the virtual running feature to help me try and improve pace.

I have experience some dodge iPhone GPS signal on Endomondo, it sometimes has a tendancy to waver into a near field for a few moments when I am actually running on the road!

My concern is it won't actually change anything because I enjoy listening to music so either have to carry my iPhone still or maybe get a little nano or something.  I also enjoy someone talking to me each km to give me an update but I guess its not hard to look at a watch!

Thank you for all your advice and help.  I went for a gait anaylsis and as runs-with-dogs says I mildy overpronate, not underpronate.  I was looking at where I first land instead of the whole roll.

I ended up purchasing the Nike Zoom Structure + 16 and they feel great!

I often wear compression clothing.  I am currently wearing Adidas compression wear but considering getting skins.  Mine are tight skin tight but not excessively.  As you say it is very hard to describe.

From what I understand you have to be very careful because if they are over tight they can cause more damage than not wearing any at all.

I also mainly wear mine for warmth and to pull sweat from my body and they do a brilliant job.  I do tend to have a base layer and jacket on top though.

Mine are regular climacool ones which I think are normally designed for summer.  I did consider buying warmth ones but opted for an extra layers instead, mainly due to price.

My brother wears the underarmor and cannot say a bad word about them, especiall the warmth range.

I'd say just go with their size guide for chest etc and stick to that.  I have a hest of 38" and 5ft 10 tall and wear medium and feels a good fit.

Yeh I am a gadget freak thanks. Certainly appreciate the sarcasm. Infact I might buy two watches and still carry my iphone, just because I can!

If you have nothing of interest to contribute, say nothing!

Hello,

I've been running for a couple months. I am using Endomondo on my iPhone with spotify.

Could someone tell me if it is worth investing in a GPS watch?  What are the benefits over the iPhone other than it is on your wrist and weight?

Thanks and sorry if it is a dummy question.

Dave.
