Pete- gonna show my inexperience here but what's the benefits of so much carb loading? We do all our training with a normal diet and this includes some 20+ mile runs so why would you want to change your diet so much closer to race day to complete the last 4-6 miles you haven't done in training?
AM- well done, that's a great run at a great pace. What's your target again?
Only training HM for me today due to time constraints so thought I would quicken it up and do it at full marathon pace and actually went quicker at average 8.10 min/miles and felt comfortable for it. ALI- was over the west end way today on the kelvin walkway and then the canal from maryhill to bishopbriggs, you in that area, did pass a few runners?
Only 35 miles for me this week but not to worried as it was 4 good quality runs.
Like the idea of a pacer but don't fancy following one for 26 miles, thinking of doing my own race and if about 22 miles in I see say the 3.45 pacer then keep with him/her from there? ( or hopefully the 3.30 pacer...lol)
Ignore above link, very similar looking but they have have mesh lining whereas the ones I wear have the lycra lining. Can't find exact ones but here's another link to other ones but these are expensive.
