Hi guys, just a wee update to let you know Manchester went well and to plan I got a time of 3.38.45 which I'm absolutely delighted with. Good course and well organised and a race I can see growing over the next few years.
Go to a stationary shop and buy a pack of stickered numbers the same size as the one printed on your number for the pen and stick a number of the pen you want to be in over it. Ie a new number 2 over the 6!
In 2013 when I did it and collected my number I was put in pen 9 and complained right away that's what they did at the expo and put a number 4 sticker over it.
Nice one, well done! It's a whole different race from a 10k so don't go off at your 10k pace, slow it down and ease into the race. Yes just add a mile or so for next 5 weeks then taper and be fresh for your half. Good luck
