I'm 12 and do lots of parkruns. I have done two 10k's but I won't do another for a while. I run a lot and I am competitive with a 21:19 5k and 44:23 10k but I do think more children's races are needed for the 5k distance as only the best of the best get to do competitive 5k's. The closest competitive 5k I get is my local parkrun so more is needed I believe.
Today i ran a mile in 6:29. I am 12 years old and I run long distance. I have just started training again as I was out for 5 weeks with a foot injury. I also ran a 2.5km jog this morning so I wasnt completely fresh for th mile but I still went pretty hard. So could you tell me if 6:29 is a good 1 mile time for a 12 yeaar old?
Hi there. Im 12 and I had a race last season where I was up against about 20 other lads my age. At the starting line all I could think about was what it might feel like if i came last. It was such a bad feeling that it spurred my on to run a great race. I didnt come last and I came about 11th and I also got a PB. So a lot of the time when I'm in a race and im nervous, it brings out the best times in me.
