So 5 days later and it's amazing how the pain is forgotten and I'm now itching for the next one.....SDW50 now has my name on it
Went down with a cold on Sunday that I had been keeping at bay for a week so felt pretty sorry for myself then but the legs felt pretty good and could have run! Considering how little training I'd done I was very surprised...the last 5 miles exposed that but to recovery that quickly...cool!
I put it down to my new nutrition regime (I work for SiS so would say that), Rego Gel prior to run(yes prior), then a few gels and bars and then lovely cold Banana Rego at the finish! Seemed to work for me!!
Been lurking for a while, also entered this as my first, training has just been concentrating in time on feet rather than distance although have done a couple of 4 hr /20 mile plods! Hoping that the excitement of the day gets me round! Planning on a Marlow to Windsor and back next weekend if anyone is slow enough to join me! (I know wrong bit but a towpaths a towpath?)
