LG, as last year i am hovering at present in the Manchester Mararthon Thread, and will get more involved as time goes by.

Pete, what is this 6 week weights programme? Not heard of this before.
Advanced Marathoning by Pete Pfitzinger and Scott Douglas.
What is the worst that can happen? You fail and don't get round.
Or you could give it a go. As said start slow though and see how you feel once you hit 8 or 9 miles, then see what is left in the tank.
A good 16km LSR today, and at quite a pace as well, it is amazing the difference the weather makes. Nice and cool today.
