This will be my first marathon. Only just reached the distance of a half marathon, so this is going to be tough going for me i think.
Currently working on building a base and doing 10 mile LSR each week before pushing the distance on mid to end of November.
16km done. I am finding that my legs are getting achy and my feet getting sore (instep) before I am out of breath. Having said that I am managing the runs ok just giving a little feedback on how i feel as I run.
Gotcha, I just felt heavy, happens sometimes where i dont quite feel it, but I wont stop, i will push through, it was my legs that felt heavy, my breathing was fine.
Struggled a little tonight, I felt I was having to put alot of effort in and felt heavy, but run managed.
Knee is fine, sometimes i get niggle when running like i do with my ankles or the bottoms of my feet. So nothing which I would class as unusual.
Core work is something I do occasionally. I have been working on some free weights to build shoulders and arms (to look good basically).
More core though is needed and i will do perhaps more than my couple of 10 minute sessions a week.
8km easy tonight - hope the rain holds off. I wont be wearing the HRM tonight as when it rained on Wednesday it has cut into me a little under my arm, Should be ok for sundays run though.
