Hi Seth

I think you are wise getting it checked out and at least your Dr  is taking you seriously and quite right too.   I have had odd things happen on my HRM but im not bothered by it.  The technology cannot be relied upon, and I would erg you to change the battery in it.  Mine spikes up and down making it look right odd, sometimes saying I have 42 bpm, when ive checked it and its more like 70!

Hi Max's Mum

No thank god I don't have any shooting pains and the pain nests right under the ball joint area but shifts, so yesterday it was pulling at the back of the hamstring and today its almost gone, but if I sit down to do stretching I can feel it right under the ball joint.  The pressure points when pressed are still easing any pain or streched feeling though.  All very odd.  Thanks for the link, and noted the picture of the pressure point in the neck. Also I read an artical about pressing for 10 seconds onto the pressure points, do you know if that is recommended?

Hi Ultraspud

I won't let it beat me!

I baffled like you about the muscle, noone yet has confirmed the reason but I have heard that a trapped nerve can stop it from working. Do you have a pressure point across your back pelvis area?

I'm convinced it is sciatic but the physio thinks otherwise.

Ultraspud

it was my right large but muscle not working and as result everything else had to work harder.  Physio cant understand it.  But like i said after doing exercises on my back pushing against my pelvis i heard a crack and afterwards noticed a change in the muscle as i walked up a stair case i could feel the muscle then working.  Physio didn't know what the cause was but i did have an accident 2 years ago falling down 12 concrete steps onto my ass!  I did a 7 mile run and hill reps tonight, but very stiff afterwards.  At least i managed hills this time. I keep trying.
