I feel your pain! For me it's the return of shin splints! Nothing for the entire 6months of training until now, 3 weeks before the big day! I'm doing all the same as you and I'm seeing a physio tomorrow. I can't empathise enough! Good luck, I really hope we can both recover in time.
After completing my longest training run (35km) last weekend, shin splints have reared their ugly head again! For the next 7 days I didn't run but cycled instead until last Sunday when I couldn't complete even a 2 hr run. First 30mins were awful until pain eased, but by 1:30hrs in, my legs were sore and my confidence shattered. Since then I have had a sports massage, tried RICE, ibuprofen (orally and topical) and foam rolling. I'm seeing a physio tomorrow. Please please please advise what I can do to treat this rapidly. Do I need ultrasound? Acupuncture? Has anyone had any success with these or other therapies?! Desperately need help! :'( Nikki
