physio sounds like a good plan - Portland Physio in St Johns Wood (Paul Vipond or Cate) or Suzanne Ferreira (Hampstead) really know what they're doing. Orthotics could prevent further problems once you're running again (Foot Factor / Norbert Cauvas). Good time to take a rest with this latest cold spell!

I've just discovered Decathlon hand warmers (foot warmers also on offer). Small sachets that warm up on contact with air and stay warm for 5+ hours! Decathlon ski socks, £8.99, are a bit thick but very warm and knee high so fab for those very cold days. Not sure if pros would approve but comfort more important to me!

... only because they've changed my life! I love sharing what's worked for me if it's something that doesn't get advertised much. There seems to be a lot of Nike and other brand free advertising on all running forums too, just the nature of passing on good tips I suppose Happy jogging!

just come across this thread and wanted to add my bit .... I have orthotics that Norbert Cauvas (Foot Factor) made for me and I haven't looked back. They're expensive but worth every penny and still cost less than many podiatrists charge.

He makes them while you wait so you can use them straight away and as you're there with him they are fitted perfectly. Give him a call as he also offers a 1/2hr free appt if you want to find out more before booking in. Different to UK podiatrists and brilliant.
