(Couldn't find an existing thread for this event ..) Does anyone know what date entries will open for this? The website just says November. How did it work last time? Do they email you with a heads up in advance if you register your interest?
According to my shorter distance race times, I should be on track for just under 4h45 as it stands - but I'm hoping that with all the cross training I'm doing (daily cycle commute) along with my training plan, I can shave a little bit off.
Then again, this will be my first marathon, so anything's a PB!
Morning all Thanks for the advice - got out at 6:30 this morning for a five miler! I'm officially converted - early morning running is far better than evening! (Though I'm not sure I could get out as early as some of you!)
Hey guys Tentatively stepping into this thread as I wanted a bit of advice on early-morning running .. This seemed the obvious place to get it! :P
I'm usually an evening runner, though cycling to and from work every day I find it hard to motivate myself to get out of the door again once I'm home (especially when it's hot).
I'd love to run before work instead, but the problem is I always seem to feel really dehydrated first thing? It doesn't seem to matter how much I drink the day/evening before, I'm always a little stuffy-headed when I get up.
Have any of you had this sort of problem? Any tips on how to avoid it?
