Hiya again - Just "boing-ing" this with some more info...
I need as many participants as possible to make this a success so feel free to pass onto anyone who fits the bill. If we can't get enough girls we will be using guys, so if you know of any guys that may be interested send their details on too. "The research team at the BASES accredited lab at Roehampton University are conducting a high-level study into competitive women cyclists, and are looking for subjects to work with over the coming year. There are a number of areas they will be focusing on, and riders will be able to benefit from their work in all of these: Female mountain bike performance Female performance nutrition Female strength and conditioning Female endurance They need a good number of athletes of differing abilities. Here is what you will get:
Full physiological support at a BASES accredited laboratory VO2 max testing Maximum power output testing Ventilatory and lactate threshold testing Economy & efficiency maximisation Body fat analysis Nutritional advice Hydration strategy Blood status testing Strengthening & conditioning assessment In return, you will be expected to:
Attend Roehampton University labs on at least two separate occasions Race at least five times in the season, supported by the Roehampton team The programme is attracting national media interest, and will form the basis for the most comprehensive study available in a field that has been widely neglected in terms of performance results.
To make the study as effective as possible, the maximum number of participants is sought, so feel free to forward this email on to friends and colleagues who may be interested.
At present, it is likely that we will only be able to perform testing on those who are 18 or over.
If you have any specific questions about the nature of the programme, or are interested in participating please drop me an email.
Looking forward to hearing from you...."

| Another thing you need to learn to do is eat baked potatoes whilst running! They hand them out during the race... |
