Glad to hear you're ok TWD.  I saw you by the roadside as I staggered past in 2:26, and you didn't look well, great that you were ok to go home yesterday.

It's my first year of doing the Lakeland, so I can't comment on the course changes, except to say that I loved this years!  I found the last few miles very hard work, but that's down to the fact that I've never done a race that's taken me more than 1:45 before, so I was running/walking for about 50 minutes more than ever before.  Will definately be back next year, and can't wait until Derwentwater in September.

Any formumites doing this on Sunday ???

I ran it couple of years ago and really njoyed it in a perverse way. Fantastic scenery but a killer of a hill at half way. Time may have exagerated the incline, but I'm sure that it's nearly vertical ;-) Missed the 2006 race as my son was in hospital but I'm back for this year. Good luck to anyone who is running.

Hi,

I've done this race for the last 3 years, but there's no mention of it on this site under 'Events' this year.

Does anyone know of a link to an entry form??

TIA.

Hairy Airey - I was stood right near you in the red pen. I didn't realise you were a forumite.

The guy in front of me had a white number, but it had a little red dot on it - he calimed that they had run out of red number so they'd sent him that instead.

I'd hoped for sub 1:40 and managed to get rounf in 1:35:37, 2 minutes under my previous PB - so well chuffed with the day.

Well done to everyone who competed/completed.

Craig.
