First mile was just running, second mile was r/w: 30sec walk,n 2min30sec run, third mile was r/w: 1min walk, 5min run, last bit was just run and my fastest bit because it's downhill but I realise most of you would consider it slow.
Pity these forums don't implement tabs properly. For anyone interested the first mile was all walk, the second was all run and the third was r/w to the end. I've always said I can walk as fast as I run and as you can see, there's less than minute difference.
BTW I notice that when I get to the bottom of the typing box and the first lines begin to scroll off the top the cursor keeps disappearing without warning and unexpected things happen. That's when I find I lose stuff unless I'm alert. If there are any other lerts out there they'll know what I mean, others will probably just be confused.
Colin - Painting the rainbow is not difficult it's impossible. even the greats like Constable and Turner didn't manage to make it look right. Trouble is that paint, pastels, etc. are not transparent like the real thing. It's easy enough to do the colours in the right order but you can't achieve the delicate vibrancy and brightness of the real thing.
There aren't even words to describe it.
I don't know the Millais painting Columba mentioned but I understand perfectly what it says: how do you describe a rainbow to a blind person? Come to that how do you describe the look of anything to someone blind from birth. How do you explain 'seeing'?
