ahhheeeemmmm Just about spat my tea out reading the last bit of your message Victoria. Went for my usual morning training run of 10 miles at 7am and it was a different degree of cold which I'm expecting for this Sunday. Haven't been hot for the last week and a half whilst out running even when I did my 17mile LSR on Sunday it was fffffrrreeeeezzzziiiinnnngggg and just managed to get back to the car when the blizzard hit. Don't think that jacket will be round your waist all the way around the course to be honest unless you are a hardy soul. |

Hi everyone Even though I'm now not running this race, just to let you know I've just got an email to say: All participants must be within the castle grounds by not later than 9am. The castle gates will then close for fifteen minutes, re-opening for spectators at 9.15am. The car park will open at 7am to allow plenty of time to get parked. The weather looks a bit warmer than now but not that much more so make a decision how many layers and what you are wearing on the day. Philip number is on its way to you, have a good race and enjoy. |

Hi folks Sorry but my number has been taken by someone on here so apologies if you are disappointed but it had to be to the first one that messaged me to be fair. Have a good race everyone, just think about me running a race at the same time which is 7 miles longer and very undulating. |

Hi folks Does anyone want a spare number, I've entered this and didn't realise it was at the same time of the Ashby20 road race (20 miles undulating) which I really need to run instead as its part of my VLM training plan. I've looked at the event website and it looks like its the usual rules that numbers can't be transferred so you would have to run as me so you obviously have to be male and ideally a V50. As long as you don't mind your name not being associated with your run then I'm willing to post it out to whoever wants it for free, its first come first served I'm afraid. Click on my name to private message me and the lucky first will be messaged back asking for their address and I'll send it 1st Class recorded signed for to ensure it arrives, so its best to give me an address where someone will be in. |

Hi folks I'm already in the marathon and ran it last year but hoping for a better race this year as I stepped on a stone at 22 miles and twisted my knee which made the last 4 miles agony at walk pace never mind trying to run it. Finished it at just over 4hrs was gutted as I was on target for another sub 3hrs 30mins after VLM and possibly sub 3hrs 15mins if I had kept the pace I was doing going. Ran the half course in reverse last weekend in hot sun and got slightly burnt, the half part of it is exactly as I remember and by the looks of the ground after the rising sun pub they had as much rain as the rest of us even there. Doing the half marathon course again this Sunday before coming back to the Midlands after taking the other halfs parents back home who live in New Milton. Got my NFM shirt through the post today, love it and as its a technical one you can run in it. |
