Hello there all - good Chrimbo? Santa was good to me but I've put on at least 2 kgs with all my Mum's yummy food....
Still gamely struggling on though - my legs are still fecked it would seem. Had been going okay but after yesterday's run/walk my right knee is sore enough to require an ice-pack so God knows what's happened there. How's everyone else doing?
My former boss was absolutely hated for being a complete witch with no social skills, so when she left she was given no card, no leaving do and someone anonymously gave her a book from a pound shop entitled "How to be a people person". How we laughed. Sounds cruel I suppose, but she really was the most awful piece of work so none of us regret it in the slightest.
Well done on your run Alison! I went out for my run/walk thing today and in the middle of the session I couldn't resist keeping going, so I ran about a mile and a quarter non-stop, with no problems. Yes, I know, hardly enough to get excited about and I don't intend to repeat it anytime soon just in case but it was great to be running at last! Went to the NHS physio for my first appt on friday - she seemed to know what she was talking about and gave me a couple of exercises which I'm to do twice a day, every day until she sees me again (on January 26th!). To me they seem to be the sort of exercises you'd give geriatrics with hip replacements as they're so 'soft' but I'll do what she says and see what happens. I'm not in any rush at this stage! Scarily, the one year anniversary of first being injured is coming up.... I had no idea I would be in this situation one year on!
