Hi Karl - just seen on the start list that I'm down as M40 - should be F40 ! How is the mud ? Have been practising losing shoes in the boggiest bits of Wimbledon common and Richmond park ready for the 20th. Looking forward to it as haven't run this one for a couple of years.

Thanks - Nic T

Just popping in to say a big thank you in advance to all of you who will be helping at the feedstation. First-time iron distance so quite wobbly at the mo but looking forward to friendly pirate faces. Never done the bottle change on the move thing before so apologies in advance if I fluff my lines and hit anyone by mistake. Nothing personal

First ever tri - Crystal Palace sprint last year - wore bright yellow tri top I'd never used before (sale bargain). Only realised when I looked at the race photos that it turned see-through when wet. And there was me thinking that people who race and support triathlons were so much friendlier and smilier than for running races . It is now at the back of the cupboard somewhere ........

Were you in a pirate top ? Suprised I didn't see you go past. You must have been quick.

I was probably 20 seconds after you out of T1 but you were in no danger of being caught on the bike and even less on the run !! I trotted over the finishing line in 6:42. Not amazing I know but I was right chuffed and enjoyed a pint of Old Smug on the back of it.
