I loved it.

It was on my list of things to before I am 60, I 'ran' all the way.  The crowds were amazing, I fell in love with the firemen when they hozed us at Deptford.   The support staff were all gorgeous, I've never felt so special in my whole life.

My mother in law persuaded the guests at her 90th birthday party to make a donation to charity - she gathered £600 and we will decide on a charity over Easter.

I have a blister (war wound) on my foot and my feet ache like mad BUT I did not tell anyone at work that I was doing the marathon, the 3 younger members of staff who did it have not made it into the office today (and I beat one of them!!!!!!!!!)

Next year I'll be on the other side of the barriers, cheering and shouting and if I can face them by then haning out the jelly babies

Far from it.  You see her on a regular basis.  Sad that some people need to have  a specialday to remember their mums.

We're at ma-in-laws on Sunday, having my mothers day later in april when it suits me.

Onwards and upwards Beebs - does carrying your arm count as weight training? Like the sound of massive improvement, means things are moving in the right direction.

Weight is stable - your might be but mine most definately is not, have eaten and drunk too much of the wrong thing over the last 10 days but there is no point in getting too stressed, I have accepted that I have major hiccups and have to get over them.

Girlfriend is in the process of talking me into doing the Moonwalk in London if we can get places.

Its quite scary, I remember whenthe eldest JuniorG went to Uni.

Never a backward glance (fortunately), by the time the other two were that age it was easier.  Its one of those experiences that is sad and exciting at the same time.  You're glad that they've got the confidence to go but .....................and then after 3 years if you are really lucky they move back in (We were lucky 3 times in a row).

Friend with 'the band' has lost about half a stone so far.  Will let you know how she carries on.
