Tom, thanks for the info. Sounds interesting will follow up.
Managed a half Marathon today (28/3) after just 2.3 miles in the previous 2 weeks. Slight discomfort during the race - but when I stopped and had to walk around - OUCH. I guess the moral of the story is to keep running ;^). I am now walking round like the aged geriatric that I probably am!
Hi, I'm struggling with a new injury. I ran 7 miles last Sunday, no problems. Got home, stretched, had dinner and stood up to find sharp sudden pain in knee. Difficult to place exactly where, but would say behind the front of the kneecap, and sometimes pain behind.
No swelling. Not a chance of running for 2 days. Wednesday did an easy hour on the X-trainer. Thursday did a slow 3.5m with slight discomfort in the knee, but as soon as I stopped running (and I assume started to straighten/lock-out my leg again) the pain came back. It seems to ease off gradually, but the sudden pain almost feels like a trapped nerve. When it's bad, it feels like the knee is going to collapse. Far worst is going up or down stairs.
