Going to remove my name from the waiting list because the injury that prevented me from running the race that I wanted at London is still hanging around. Would be foolish to embark on another round of marathon training at this point! Good luck to you all and hope you all get places.

Anyone got any advice on achilles problems and running marathons?
Having got through the majority of the training this year without injury, I've managed to do something to my achillies in the final weeks. I've had some painful twinges in my right achilles that have stopped me from running, more from fear that I might do some serious damage than real pain. I took a week off and ran 10 slow miles this morning, achilles was sore and very tight.
Think i'm going to attempt the marathon, come to far to back out now, but may drop out if the pain gets too much on the day.
What I want to know is whether anyone has found heel supports to be of any use with these sorts of problems? Or is there anything else that might help me get round on the day?
