good stuff Lee-Anne and great progress. the great north run is a great half marathon to do as a starter. loads of support all the way around. i seem to have got into the habit of doing it every 5 years (2000, 2005, 2010) so a couple of more years to go! have some lovely holiday cottages that we go to so its a good excuse for a holiday. |

was a couple of minutes slower than you at the Angus half yesterday, finished in 1:54 something. the last mile is just ridiculous. one of these years i might manage to run up half of it guy that finished near me was a first timer and was not impressed at all but even when you know that hill is coming its still a nightmare. hardest last mile of any race i've done. sounds like an epic race you are planning there UTC!! |

well it was a snowy and very windy five miles for me this morning. didn't really cope with the wind at all and bailed out after 5 miles but it was just so horrible. well done on the D33 FFB. great result. |

it was a great day FFB. the half marathon course was great including the pain between miles 5 and 8. heard the marshall at the turning point talking about someone that ran on but did they not see everyone else turning round? did think about coming to say hello to you ffb but you looked so busy so i just said a brief hello to Tri instead. really please with my time which i think was around the 1:52 mark according to my garmin so well pleased with that given the hills at the turn. definitely up for next year!! |
