Plenty of hills. Some nice steep ones you can walk up after Devizes. The one after Avebury is runnable, if you can run uphill after 27 miles! Weather looks good. Not as hot as last Sunday's Neolithic marathon. The route should be nice and dry underfoot. Road shoes will be fine.

Drove past the early part of the route earlier on this afternoon. Bright sunshine, dry tracks and great views. Looking very good for Sunday!

Chris. I did Exe to Axe a few years ago in about 3:15 and I was at around 3:30 marathon ability at the time. There are lots of variables though. When I did the E2A it was dry underfoot, so fastish. Hope this helps.

Gents. Just finished listening to the podcast. Really enjoyed it. I agree totally that there is a gap for a podcast about uk specific races. As a Southerner I am looking forward to hearing about races down here in the future. We know you guys in the north have the best mountains, fells and trails and are happy to hear about them, but don't make us too jealous!
