I'm coming back from injury as well - although I've been coming back for 2 years now but keep getting new injuries!! Sounds good fun - just wonder if it is too ambitious. I'm not a quick runner - my PB for a half is 1 hour 47 and was reasonably flat. I guess I should aim for the 2 hour mark then.
Are there many spectators out on the course or is it too remote?
Can anyone who has already done it please tell me how much slower this race will be compaired to other half marathons. I'm guessing that due to the terrain and running on sand in places, times are generally slower??
I've rashly entered an open water swim race in July. I'm a confident swimmer but does anyone out there know of any websites that can give me a rough training programme? I have no idea of how to train for it but realise that going to the pool every day and just doing length after length probably isn't the right thing to do....
