Serious speed already Tom, I agree, if you are steady around 6.15 to 6.20, then your MP might be sub 6.00 come October.
Got out at 7.30am this morning, the thermometer on the garden fence said 32 degrees, gulp!. Oh well, a steady 10 miles at 8.50av was therefore more than OK for me. 30min tempo run yesterday in the heat. It will be club efforts tomorrow night, when hopefully it should be cooler.
Sounds like there is some great training/racing going on already.
I also several weeks into my plan and everything seems to ticking over nicely. I completed an off road HM last weekend (along a disused railway - which worked out at 13.8 miles!), and finished 4th in 1.43.24,
I am aiming for sub 3:20 at Abo, which I have achieved twice before in previous years, however this was before I was diagnosed a Type 1 Diabetic in April 2015 (and now on insulin). This year will be my first time back since then, and only my second marathon since April 2015, having achieved 3:24 back in March.
They also call out on the PA system every time a runner notches up 10 laps, saying how many laps that runner has done, so you have a good idea how you are doing. They also say when you have 1 lap to go.. the best part
