Hello,

Thank you for all your advice everyone. I will be trying some out at the weekend. Am terrified of the old dodgy tum though as I have heard some real horror stories!

I am doing Edinburgh and I am pretty sure it Lucozade there as well, but will give a few SiS ones a whirl as well.

Quite nervous about the whole thing really - but I do think that something has got to be better then running the entire lot on water and a big breakfast - which I have also heard can cause havoc with your tummy so..I will try a few and let you know how I do.

Thank you!

Tx

Hello,

Does anyone have any advice on Sports Drinks?

I am training to run my 1st Marathon in June and I am currently upto 1hr 30 min runs - I am new to running.

I have read about the various different things I need to think about eg sports drinks & water during the marathon etc but I have no idea exactly how much or when......can anyone offer any advice.

Also, I have about 1st weight to lose, so I have goals to reach really.

Hey Bad Chimp, well done on getting started! I decided to give it a go one day and started on the most basic of schedules (run 2 mins, walk 2 mins etc) ......I'm up to 9 miles Its really worth sticking with it as you will feel fantastic with every goal you reach. I had a lot of weight to lose and as it came off it did make it easier (I still have a way to go).

Whereabouts in Yorkshire you from? I was born there but based in the South at the min.

Good luck, keep it up.

Hi all, Can I join as well? I am really doing a mixture of losing weight so I can run and running so I can lose weight. Also, following the Slimming World plan. Managed to get rid of 2st so far with another 1.5 to go. Have been hovering around 11st1 and 11st 4 or he last month but know my downfall is wine!!
