Hi everyone,

Well done to this years runners.

I've just registered for the 2011 Goofy. Anyone else signed up yet ?

I'm doing Edinburgh Marathon in May as well as a few halfs and was basically planning to do my regular marathon training for the Goofy. Any advice from experienced Goofys would be welcome.

thanks,

 Liam

Hi there,

I'm doing Edinburgh as well. I had a dreadful FLM (hoping for 3:30 managed 3:57. Felt awful in the second half and had to do a lot of walking).

My natural laziness likes the idea of keeping myself ticking over but I'd be worried about losing speed/stamina after my taper. We went on holiday for the two weeks before the FLM and I could only manage one run.

I'm going to do nothing till the weekend and then decide.

Liam

Hi Guys,

Although I hadn't really planned to do this one, my friend Janet beat my marathon pb by five minutes at London so I have to get that back. Not that I suffer from offended male pride or anything.

I'll be training in up from London on the Saturday and staying in the Travellodge. I'm not looking forward to training over the summer though.
