Currently in sunny south wales with 5 stone to lose. How have I got to this point?! I'd like to say that its genetic but I think my penchant for all foods bad has something to do with it oh and my inability to stick to a regular training routine. I've been in this position before and worse. The only thing that keeps the weight loss happening is running so I went for my first outdoor run since september this morning. Didn't even manage 30 mins but it felt good and I'll be out again soon.
I have a few questions... How often do people train? Are you following a particular diet?
Am feeling a bit worried. Have been out from training for 6 weeks (plantar fascia) and feel very sluggish. I managed an hour of treadmill plodding on Tuesday and 30 mins this morning but I feel dreadful now.
What's the best way to return to previous fitness?
On a plus note i've lost nearly a stone since being off my feet and had hoped that the 'lighter me' would compensate for the lack of training. Not sure what to do - aiming for Reading half in March. Maybe I should change my expectations to a run/walk training plan?
Have a good day Debbs! I must admit that I often check the 'calories burned' function on my garmin. I've been dieting for over 10 years (yo-yo'd over 20 stone) so burning/saving calories is the holy grail for me - sad, I know and one of these days I'll manage to stop!
Rita wasn't too impressed with Thornbury. Apparently there were 15 stiles to climb over and people kept losing their trainers. I think she'd have enjoyed it more if she'd been prepared for the conditions (and worn wellies!).
