Thanks for the info guys, great stuff! Pretty sure I won't be running sub 3 hours by April Tricky-Dicky, hopefully I'll be back there one day though, but valuable advice about the pacers as I'll be looking to break 3:15.
I'm also not keen on using energy drinks I haven't tried, which is why I asked the original question. Think I may just buy myself a race belt and stick to gels for this one!
Fair point about the weather, guess there isn't a lot I can do about it anyway, so may as well just get on with it!
Guys, I'm sure these questions will have been asked before and I first looked at the thread with every intention of reading through to find the answers, but gave up around 500 posts in! A few questions about the marathon for those that have run it before....
1. Whats the start like? Can't remember my colour, but I'm in the 3hr to 3:15 bay, am I likely to get slowed at the start? If so by how much? I also have friends in the 4:15 to 4:30 bay, how will it be for them?
2. Whats the temperature been like during the race for the last few years?
3. I read somewhere that there are no energy drinks on the feed stations, is that correct?
Morning all. I'm entered for 2015, just trying to sort accommodation. Looking to stay just outside Paris and travel in. Anybody else got experience of this? Good areas to stay, good travel links? What metro stations do we need for the start?
