Anybody managed to track down the results of the half marathon? I have emailed the organisers twice but no reply yet. THREE weeks after the race and no results is a pretty poor show. I would not mind if they had said it would take a while, but they said they would be on the website on 3/5/05 and only the full marathon results appeared.

Thanks Nozzer. I thought it was a bit over, but not much, so 13.4m sounds about right.

As for changes to course etc. I think the half is a great course and only a bit over distance, so please don`t change. The full seems to be a mile over if you went the right way, so keep the same course but advertise it so. Maybe a catchphrase along the lines of "Marathon runners always go the extra mile".

To those who went wrong in the early miles and ended up in Lancing - Where did you take the wrong turn? I`m a bit puzzled as it`s straight run from Hill Barn to Cissbury apart from the left off the road onto The Downs after 1/4 mile. Also, I thought it was well sign posted from Chantonbury to home. However, I did the half, so you guys would been in a much worse state than me just running the half.

Did anyone wear a GPS unit on the half today and what did it read?

I live local and did some training from Hill Barn to Cissbury Ring and surrounding hills, so I knew what to expect. But it was great to go further a field without fear of getting lost. Great course. Definately going to use it for long runs this summer training for Abingdon Marathon.
