hello all

hope everyone are getting on ok with their running and training.

just aquick update on the treatment.this week sees the start of my 3rd week of radiotherapy. so far no loss of hair.nurses told me if it was going to fall out it should have fallen out last week. so still have my long dark locks of hair.i havnt had a haircut since December 2011.id be a liar to say it has been OK. it hasn't.the radiotherapy knocks you for 6. ive lost my appetite   bit, which is unusual for me. Ive had a few bad days but you have to plougho n thru thick and thin.with the weather getting warmer and signs of flowers popping up all over summer and spring is coming.

see you soon.

evening all-thanks for the messages of support.

fiona-i was at the rvi yesterday giving blood.on the subject of where the right side of my skull is. i assume its been stored away securely.I'm either going to get a titanium plate put  in. or a plastic mould of my skil put in.

personally i don't mind which.i know I'm going to have a belt er of a scar.

Mandie-Sorry no haweswater half this year.hopefully next year

been to freeman today for a ct scan to check my mould is ok for radio therapy. seemed to go well.got a wee break from hospitals now until 15thfeb for ct scan.then the start of treatment on the 16th. all at the freeman on XLs doorstep.

all the best to those out jogging, walking, running, enjoy it,becuse you never know when it can be suddenly taken away from you.Ive just been recharging the batteries since sept 2011. ONCE im fit to run again watch out for pbs. im used to large amounts of pain now.

cheersmate. when i had my biopsy in december the surgeon had to remove the right side of my skull. so when the treatment is finished i need to go back into hospital rvi to get my skull put back in.the date has still to be arranged, hopefully it wont clash with the 9th june. if i can make it mate i'll be there.Went to sainsburys for my dinner today.you know where it is.im back at the freeman tomorrow and friday.
